Follow the guide to create your account, download and install the VST3 plugin, make your first sound, and activate your license.

Create or access your account

An account is required before you can download the demo. Create an account or sign in, then complete the email verification step.

What you need

Host
A DAW with VST3 support. Probabil FM is an instrument plugin, so load it on an instrument track, not an audio insert.
Processor
A 64-bit CPU with AVX2 support. The installer checks this requirement before continuing.
Format
VST3 · version 1.0.21

From download to first sound

Download & Install

Download the demo

Sign in first, then choose the installer for your operating system from your Downloads page. The demo is the only free download and does not require a purchase.

Install on Windows

    Run the installer

    Open the downloaded Windows installer and follow the setup steps.

    Confirm the VST3 location

    The plugin is installed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.

    Rescan your plugin folders

    In your DAW, rescan the VST3 folders if the plugin does not appear immediately. Look for it under Probabil Audio.

Install on macOS

Package installer

    Open the package

    Open the downloaded Probabil-FM-1.0.21.pkg file and complete the installer steps.

    Check the VST3 folder

    The shared install path is /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3. A single-user install may use ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3.

    Rescan and load as an instrument

    Rescan VST3 folders in your DAW and load Probabil FM on an instrument track.

First launch: make your first sound

    Load the plugin

    Open Probabil FM on an instrument track.
  2. 2

    Start playback

    Press the play button in the plugin header, or start your DAW transport. SYNC follows the host tempo.

    Load a kit and pattern

    Open KIT and then PATTERN in the header and choose a factory preset.

    Choose a part

    Click a part such as SNARE in the left sidebar and start turning knobs.

Nothing is playing?

Open System Settings and check that the Internal Sequencer is enabled. Also check that the part is not muted with its M button and that another part is not soloed with S.

Unlock the full instrument

License Activation

Activate your serial

Your serial is shown in your account after purchase. Copy it exactly as displayed.

    Open System Settings

    Open Probabil FM and click the cogwheel in the top-right corner of the plugin.
  2. 2

    Find License Key

    Use the License Key field at the top of the System Settings dialog.
  3. 3

    Enter the serial

    Paste the complete key in this format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
  4. 4

    Validate and confirm

    Select Validate. A successful activation shows LICENSED in the status line.

What happens in demo mode?

Without a valid key, Probabil FM runs as DEMO – UNLICENSED and periodically mutes its output. Editing, saving presets, and exporting remain available so you can evaluate the full instrument.

Activation checklist

  • • Paste the full serial, including all four groups.
  • • Check that there are no extra spaces before validating.
  • • Confirm that the status line changes to LICENSED.

Find the license field

System Settings is in the plugin header

In the Synth page, use the cogwheel at the top right. The License Key field is at the top of the System Settings dialog.
